NJROTC Program Earns Distinguished Unit RibbonLa unidad de NJROTC gana la cinta de unidad distinguida

NJROTC Awards (474 of 993)

East Aurora School District 131 Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) is the largest in the Midwest and one of the largest in the nation, producing students who regularly achieve success at the academic and extracurricular level.

The Distinguished Unit ribbon was recently awarded to District 131’s program. This award singles out NJROTC units that demonstrate high levels of performance in their activities and contain high achieving cadets.

East Aurora’s unit has eight year-round programs, whose performances add to the eligibility of this particular award, including Academic, Color Guard, Drill: Armed & Unarmed, Drone, Dance, Drum and Bugle (DDB), Marksmanship, Orienteering, and Physical Training.

Our unit’s performances in the above, coupled with the scholarships our Cadets receive, community service they perform, and the post-graduate plans and academic achievements of our Cadets are all measured and compared to other units to determine the award.

Ultimately this distinction reflects the dedication of our East Aurora cadets, instructor staff, and the district leadership that supports the program.

We continue to take great pride in our student Cadets who do our district proud, representing the many ways East Aurora students can reach their full potential.

El comando de entrenamiento de oficiales de la reserva naval de la preparatoria (NJROTC) del Distrito escolar 131 del Este de Aurora es el más grande del Medio Oeste y uno de los más grandes de la nación, produciendo estudiantes que regularmente alcanzan el éxito a nivel académico y extracurricular.

Recientemente se concedió la cinta de Unidad Distinguida al programa del Distrito 131. Este premio distingue a las unidades del NJROTC que demuestran un alto nivel de rendimiento en sus actividades y contienen cadetes de alto rendimiento.

La unidad del Este de Aurora tiene 8 programas durante todo el año cuyas actuaciones se suman a la elegibilidad de este premio en particular, incluyendo Académico, Guardia de Color, Equipo de Rifle: armado y desarmado, Dron, Baile, Tambor y Corneta (DDB), Puntería, Orientación y Entrenamiento Físico.

Los resultados de nuestra unidad en lo anterior, junto con las becas que reciben nuestros cadetes, el servicio a la comunidad que realizan y los planes de postgrado y logros académicos de nuestros cadetes se miden y comparan con otras unidades para determinar el premio.

Por último, esta distinción refleja la dedicación de nuestros cadetes del Este de Aurora, los instructores y el liderazgo del distrito que apoya el programa.

Seguimos estando muy orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes cadetes que enorgullecen a nuestro distrito, representando las muchas maneras en que los estudiantes del Este de Aurora pueden alcanzar su máximo potencial.
